early stage researchers
COST follows an overall policy of increasing its support to early stage researchers, defined as any researcher whose career has not yet exceeded 8 years after achievement of a PhD/doctorate (or similar experience) and the date of involvement in the COST Action.
Periods of career leave have to be added to this time span.
