Second international training school on
Manufacturable and Dependable Multi-core Architectures at Nanoscale
DAP Hotel Dejvice, Prague
13-15 July 2015
Overview
The 2nd international training school on Manufacturable and Dependable Multicore Architectures at Nanoscale aims at educating participants on the challenges of designing complex systems and multi-core architectures, able to fulfil the unavoidable constraints in terms of dependability and manufacturability required by modern embedded systems. We seek balance between foundational aspects and practical, real-life examples that will engage all participants. All lecturers and speakers are active players and leading researchers and engineers. The school is open (not only!) to graduate and graduated students, researchers and engineers.
Venue
The 2nd International Training School will be held in Prague, DAP Hotel Dejvice. It is easily reachable from the airport, located right on intersection of all types of public transport, close to key Prague universities, and few minutes far from Prague downtown and historical centre.
Topics
The program of the international school has been prepared with the aim of providing a solid background on the fundamental concepts of the design and analysis of today’s and tomorrows’ dependable multi-core systems and cutting-edge solutions. The lectures are experts from the industry field. The topics presented will cover the following areas of interest:
- Current trends and challenges of technology at nanoscale, in multicore architectures
- Latest technologies, reliability of devices, degradation mechanisms
- Management of Dependability and Safety in Technical Applications
- Reliability standards, reliability modelling and analysis techniques
- Software-based self-repair for multi-core systems, redundancy-based techniques
- Reliability and safety mechanisms in transportation Rail and automotive industry
- Failure mechanisms & fault modelling
- Fault tolerance and mitigation techniques at different levels of abstraction
- Reliability Physics, Modern 3D devices, designs and testing, modern multichip and multicore solutions, interposers and wafers
- Applications of programmable nanoscale microelectronics, degradation processes
- Emerging new technologies, Hardware and Software techniques, advanced measurement
Participants will have a very unique opportunity to discuss their work and to share ideas and experiences. Presentations will be in English.
